Meesho charges 0% commission, and the customer pays the forward shipping price. Sellers pay 18% GST on that shipping from every delivered order, and the return shipping fee on every customer return. RTO (courier could not deliver) is usually not charged and the product comes back to stock. TCS (0.5%) and TDS (0.1%) are also deducted but come back as tax credits when you file returns, so they are not counted as costs. This is an estimate for planning, not tax advice — confirm figures with your CA.

How to use

Using the Meesho profit calculator

  1. Enter your product cost, packaging cost and the listing price you plan to set on Meesho.
  2. Enter the shipping charge Meesho shows for your product and pick your product's GST rate.
  3. Set your return rate, the return fee deducted per return, and what share of returns comes back damaged.
  4. Tick the GST bill box if you buy stock with a GST invoice — the GST you paid comes back as input credit.
  5. Switch to Find my price to get the listing price for the profit you want.

Meesho charges no commission, which makes it easy to underprice. The real costs are 18% GST on shipping from every delivered order and the return fee on every customer return. Watch the "max return rate you can survive" — if your returns are above it, every order loses money on average.

Every number updates as you type, and nothing you enter is saved or sent anywhere. Use it before listing a new product, before joining a sale, or whenever your costs change.

Guide

How Meesho profit really works

Why is my real profit lower than price minus cost?

Three hidden costs: the GST inside your selling price goes to the government, you pay 18% GST on the shipping charge from every delivered order, and every customer return costs you a return shipping fee, plus the full product cost when the item comes back damaged.

What is the "max return rate you can survive"?

It's the return rate at which your profit becomes exactly ₹0. If your actual return rate is higher, every order loses money on average. Lower returns with clear photos, correct sizes and good packaging, or raise your price.

Does a GST bill (pakka bill) really help?

Yes. With a GST purchase bill, the GST you paid on stock and the GST on shipping can be claimed as Input Tax Credit. That often turns a loss-making product into a profitable one. Tick the box above to see the difference.

Is Meesho commission really zero?

Yes, Meesho charges 0% commission. Your costs on Meesho are GST on shipping, return shipping fees, and any ads you choose to run.
